Supporting young people with language and communication disorders

Leading Our Lives is a small charity set up to meet the social and leisure needs of young people with speech, language and communication disorders in the North East London boroughs and surrounding areas. We have taken over the running of a youth club (previously run by Afasic) for young people aged 11-19. Young people with SLCN often feel isolated and at a loss in mainstream settings, and also in settings aimed at those with more severe learning disabilities.

Our 2018 crowdfunder, Campaign 5,000, has launched with our exciting new video telling you about our club and why we need 5,000 people to donate £2 each to help us stay open for another year!
